What is the Bikebac Tracker and how does it work?

The Bikebac Tracker is the most affordable [no subscription fee] custom-built tracking device for bikes that works with Apple’s Find My network. It uses the same technology as an AirTag but is designed specifically for bikes.

What is the range?

Within 100ft of Apple devices.

Is it compatible with Android?

No, this version works exclusively with Apple Find My, An Android version is in development.

Does it have GPS or require a subscription?

No, it does not have GPS. It relies on Apple’s Find My network, which updates its location when near Apple devices. There are no monthly fees—just buy the tracker and use it with Apple Find My.

How long does the battery last?

1 year and the battery is replaceable (CR2032 coin cell).

Is it waterproof?

Yes, it is waterproof (IP67) and built to handle all-weather conditions.

How do I install it?

It mounts discreetly on your bottle cage mount [and under your accessories] with tamper-proof security screws. We also provide zip ties to mount under the seat or any other location you may prefer.

Wouldn’t a thief just rip it off?

They’d have to recognize it first. Mounted under your bottle cage, it blends in, and under the seat, it’s nearly invisible. We include security torx screws, requiring a special tool to remove. Also a thief is more likely to ditch a tracked bike rather than risk it. Would you rather have nothing? One small purchase, lasting peace of mind.

Can I track multiple bikes from one phone?

Yes! With Apple’s Find My app you can register 32 devices.

What should I do if my bike is stolen?

Contact local authorities with the last known location. We are also partnered with Project 529 who have some great resources on how to file a report with the police.
